History Day North
Save the date: History Day North returns to DCDC on 29 July 2025! Register your interest in taking part as a presenter
Organisations can now apply to take part in the 2025 History Day North exhibition as part of the Discovering Collections Discovering Communities conference.
We will be holding a History Day fair on Tuesday, 29 July, 12:00-16:00 BST. There are opportunities to join in-person at Durham University, and online.
If you are interested in participating in History Day North, please fill in the form to register your interest in the event. The closing date for submissions is Friday, 2 May 2025.
Partnering with DCDC for another year, History Day North provides a unique opportunity, outside of London, for attendees and organisations, to showcase, network and explore history collections.
In addition to the in-person exhibition, History Day North is offering two online options for organisations to engage the hybrid audience with their collections and work. Should you wish to contribute a 10-minute presentation, please provide us with a short proposal (no more than 250 words) detailing how your contribution will relate to the DCDC25 theme, ‘Choose Your Own Future: Resilient Communities and Sustainable Solutions’.
An exciting part of the DCDC25 programme, History Day North is free to attend. Admission is included in DCDC registration (Full conference, Tuesday Day or Online ticket options) or a History Day only ticket (free).
Registration to attend History Day will be launched in the coming months.
