The call for papers for the 2025 Discovering Collections, Discovering Communities conference is now open. We welcome proposals for online and in person contributions noting the deadline of Monday 14 October 2024.
A collective call to action DCDC25 invites you to come together, no matter where you are in the world or the stage of your career, to Choose Your Own Future: to celebrate what is already being achieved and debate what more could be done, to explore the challenges we face across the GLAMA sector and to work together as a community to find sustainable solutions.
What do I need to know?
DCDC is back and better! A fully hybrid event, the 2025 conference will take place from 29 – 31 July 2025, at Durham University and online using the platform Pheedloop.
What’s different?
The conference partners – The British Library, Jisc, and The National Archives – have taken time to review and consider delegate feedback, and from 2025 an improved DCDC will take place as a fully hybrid international event. To ensure delegates experience the best that DCDC has to offer, the conference will run on a biennial basis from 2025 onwards.
What does this mean?
A fully hybrid conference will ensure that DCDC audiences can continue to engage with peers, share and hear more about the incredible work that is being undertaken across the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums and Academic (GLAMA) sector, and take part in opportunities to network and develop professional skills, regardless of where they are in the world or their career stage.
When can I register?
Registration for DCDC25 will open in early 2025. The DCDC bursary scheme will launch in late 2024. You can find out more about bursaries to support attendance on our ‘What to expect’ page.
