Bursaries
You can now apply for bursaries to support your attendance at DCDC25!
Please complete the relevant application form by 21 May 2025
Each year DCDC brings together over 400 international colleagues from across the archive, library, museum, heritage and academic sectors. We are proud that the conference appeals to delegates from all career stages, from established academics and practitioners, to those just starting out.
We want to ensure we include the widest range of voices, experiences and backgrounds in our discussions, and we continue to offer a variety of bursaries to support attending DCDC events.
Bursaries include:
- Registration bursaries (10 in person, 20 online)
- Expenses bursaries (5 available)
- Additional support (during the week of the event)
Registration bursaries
Registration bursaries cover the costs of in-person or online registration for DCDC25.
The in-person registration bursary (10 available) includes:
- Full conference registration
- Conference drinks and dinner receptions
- Accommodation on-campus (includes breakfast)
The online registration bursary (20 available) includes access to DCDC25 online, via the Pheedloop platform. DCDC25 online will include access to all online elements of the conference.
Expenses bursaries
We recognise that delegates may incur additional costs when attending DCDC25, whether in-person or online. Expenses bursaries (5 available) of up to £300 are available to anyone who might need additional support to attend, for example those with caring responsibilities, freelancers, those that need support with travel costs, or additional support for online attendance.
Additional support
Funds for additional support will be available in the lead up to and during the week of the DCDC25 conference. Details regarding the Additional Support funds and how to access these will be available in due course.
Applicants will be able to apply for multiple bursary options. A committee at The National Archives will select applicants based on the following criteria:
- Reasons for wanting to attend DCDC25
- Inclusion
- Individual benefit
- Individual need
There are no restrictions on the location or employment status of applicants. We do ask that you explore funding options from your employer or institution first, but encourage anyone who is unable to secure support to apply for a registration bursary.
